There are plenty of recipes on the internet for this low cost ingredient. Popular eaten cold and in sandwiches.
The tongue doesn’t have bones or connective tissue to deal with like other cuts. Put it in a pan with with about an inch of water over the top, and added plenty of aromatics – garlic, onions, bay leaves, salt, pepper, and some celery. Simmer for 2 or 3 hours, cool in iced water and then peel off the skin. It is now ready to eat!
