Producer Spotlight

Somerset Local Food

LATEST – We are now accepting registrations and orders from new customers whilst continuing to support our existing customers, elders and those who are housebound.

We deliver to all addresses in the BA and TA postcode areas plus most BS postcode areas (essentially those postcodes south of the M4).

We have to manage the total number of orders we can fulfil each week to ensure the health and well-being of our warehouse team.  Orders can only be placed from 10:30 am each Sunday until all the delivery slots have been filled, or by 09:30 am on Monday morning, whichever comes sooner.  After that we place all the orders with our suppliers for delivery to the warehouse on Tuesday and Wednesday. Orders are picked, checked, packed and ice packs are added when needed.  They are delivered to your home on Thursday or Friday to ensure the produce remains as fresh as possible.

Change or additions to existing orders can be made until 09.00 on Monday morning. Contact customercare@somerserlocalfood.co.uk if you would like to update your order or add something you had forgotten.

If the site is open for orders,  you will see a ‘count-down’ clock at the top of your screen.

Many of our customers say how much they appreciate receiving a friendly text reminder every Sunday morning as our website re-opens. If you’d like a free SMS notification, simply email us at  customercare@somersetlocalfood.co.uk and ask for your mobile number to be added. If you don’t have a mobile number, a voice message reminder can be sent to your landline number.  You can unsubscribe from this service at any time.

Our delivery routes are optimised to reduce our vans’ carbon footprints and vary from week to week depending on the locations of the orders we receive. You will always receive your order on the day your town or village is listed (smaller communities en route are not always listed).  Please note that all Bristol addresses are listed by their postcode area. Customers living in communities or postcode areas at the beginning of the list will receive their order from us in the morning, those in the middle by early to mid-afternoon and those at the end of the delivery round will arrive by mid to late afternoon.
