Bags,Burnham on sea and Castle Cary
Somerset Farmers Market have launched our own jute shopping bag which will be available at all of our markets for only Ł2. Many of the towns which host our markets are already aiming to become carrier bag free and we have long felt that we would like to do our bit.We chose an ethically sourced Jute bag capable of safely carrying everything from eggs to apple juice. The bag has been sponsored by Dyne Drewett and is printed with the dates on of all our markets so theres no excuse to forget !
Burnham On Sea Farmers Market
In April Somerset Farmers Markets added Burnham on Sea to their network of markets.
This market takes place twice a month through June, July and August on the 2nd and last Fridays of the month 9am-1pm in the High Street and gets very busy so aim to be their early!
A new market for Castle Cary
An incredible 540 years after the original charter was granted to hold a Thursday market the Town Council invited us to organise another one!
The successful launch was in July followed by an equally successful August market .The Market House is full to bursting with an array of extremely locally produced food in a stunning location .
The town itself is well worth a visit and has lots of interesting shops and eateries.

We need a couple of volunteers at each of our markets to help sell our jute bags, run our information stands ,administer e-mail prompts to customers, give out leaflets, put up posters play music etc
